《八吉祥莲花》可以为自己或家人祈福，也可为往生的先人消除孽障，渡化其冤亲债主，让先人脱离苦海。折「八吉祥莲花」时要心无所求，或念南无阿弥陀佛；或念；南无观世音菩萨；或念“唵、嘛、呢、叭、咪、吽”，而且边折八吉祥莲花边念佛，更能累积无量功德。

注：当我们折「八吉祥莲花」之时，恐会有繁琐之事不停缠绕着我们。梁师傅说；因以平静之心，继续专心折下去。所谓诚心折莲，必遇魔障，佛心坚定，才可冲破。

每逢初一十五都可将折好的「八吉祥莲花」放在佛前、床头边、办公桌、收银台、车上、刚出生婴儿旁、病房、若夫妻经常吵架可将「八吉祥莲花」安放在主人房。若工作必须早出晚归可将「八吉祥莲花」安放在卧房。月初安放，十五焚烧，月中安放，初一焚烧。焚烧处不忌。

8 Auspicious Lotus can be used for blessing oneself, the family and the deceased and to eliminate bad karma. When folding the 8 auspicious lotus, one must be clear minded. You may recite amitaba or om mani padme om for better results.

Note: There will bound to be disturbance when we are folding the 8 auspicious lotus. You should keep a clear and peaceful mind and be determine so as to overcome this demon.

Every 1st and 15th of the Lunar calender, placed the finished 8 auspicious lotus on the altar, bedside, office table, reception, car or hospital ward. When placed in the beginning of the month, burn it on the 15th day of the lunar calendar. When placed in the middle of the month, burn it on the 1st day of the lunar calendar.
